MMA is a combat sport that incorporates a variety of techniques from several sportive martial arts, it usually consists of stand-up striking, take downs and grappling.

Attending other classes such as BJJ, Muay-Thai and wrestling will help teach the core fundamentals that make up mixed martial arts. These techniques can then be honed down in MMA classes to focus on MMA specific techniques such as wall work, striking from the ground and baiting strikes with takedowns.
